American Oak

American Oak

A strong, versatile hardwood ideal for furniture, flooring, and structural joinery

American White Oak Hardwood Timber

American White Oak is valued for its excellent overall strength properties relative to weight, making it a preferred hardwood species for both structural and decorative applications. The timber is hard and relatively heavy, offering strong bending and compression strength with excellent steam bending capabilities.

Once dry, American Oak is stable, reliable, and easy to work with. It finishes and stains extremely well, which makes it highly popular for furniture manufacturing, flooring, and interior joinery where performance and appearance are equally important.

Visually, American White Oak features an attractive grain similar to many oak species worldwide. The sapwood ranges from whitish to light brown, while the heartwood varies from light to mid or even dark brown. The grain is predominantly straight with a medium to coarse texture, giving a timeless and professional finish.
